Meet the CEO

Melvin Raggs Jr, the CEO of MJ & Associates, LLC is a charismatic individual that is driven by helping others and sharing his knowledge. He lives his life with this one hard truth in mind, "people are known by two things: their social security number and their credit." 

​

Born and raised in the greater St. Louis, MO area, Raggs Jr. has always been passionate about positively influencing his community. In order to ensure he had the resources and credibility to do so, he obtained a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. His interest in financial services began when he worked as an government collection agent, where he was exposed to the reality of credit. Furthermore, Raggs Jr. has always been inspired by the principles of Black Wall Street, (Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1921) which emphasize the importance of his community becoming self-sustaining and financially free. His goal is to embody these principles and apply them through his services. Driven by his passion to help others around him, Raggs Jr. launched MJ & Associates, LLC with the mission to build awareness around the importance of credit to the economy and how it is a status of financial power.
